JAVA DEVELOPER
3 MONTH CONTRACT TO HIRE
RICHMOND, VIRGINIA
COMSYS IT Services is seeking an experienced n-tier software developer to analyze, design, develop and implement Web-based applications. The incumbent is responsible for providing direction and mentorship to junior developers to achieve desired results. Additional responsibilities involve applying industry standard best practices, design frameworks, and patterns along with making recommendations for process improvements, cost savings and technology issues.
Qualified applicants should have an extensive knowledge of automated systems development life cycle (SDLC) as well as knowledge of business functions. Proven experience providing technical leadership and training for junior developers in software development projects involving a multi-hardware and software environment, including OOA&D and/or RUP methodology is paramount. Hands-on experience with JAVA, EJB, JSP, SQL and Oracle is needed. The demonstrated abilities to work with end users; interpret user statements; develop analytical reference and user/technical documents; communicate effectively both, orally and in writing; and work independently and as a team member is desired.
A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or comparable work experience is preferred as well as experience utilizing Web Logic, Servlets, Javascript, HTML, Rational tools, Eclipse, Ant, XML and Crystal Reports.
