SHORT SCOOP: Degreed or 5+ yrs programming and/or systems analysis exp; VB.Net, SQL Server SDLC (web & Windows) is a must, data warehousing, wholesale or retail applications a plus.

SUMMARY:
The Sr. Programmer Analyst analyzes complex business and technical problems and works with users to identify project parameters, operational flow, and output requirements. He/she codes, tests, modifies and documents computer programs and also conducts special studies and analyses regarding the development of new information systems and/or modifications to existing applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Determines needs, scope, and priorities of systems development projects, and specific systems information requirements
*Prepares flowcharts, tables, and diagrams to analyze business problems
*Estimates system complexity for assigned projects and prepares or assists in preparation of feasibility studies which specify alternative solutions and identify related costs
*Devises methods, screens, and procedures designed to capture data, determine processing requirements, and identify output formats
*Develops detailed flowcharts and/or specifications for programming
*Writes code in one or more languages to access, process, and produce desired results
*Tests systems and program designs; analyzes test results, corrects problems, and discusses final product with users
*Reviews, analyzes, and modifies existing systems/programs to incorporate changes
*Prepares required user and application documentation for the implementation and running of new and revised systems
*Provides technical training and assistance to users
*Participates in special projects as needed
*Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
*Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent
* 5+ yrs previous programming and/or systems analysis exp
*Visual Basic.Net and SQL Server full life cycle development in both Web servers and Windows server environments exp required
*Data warehousing, wholesale or retail applications a plus
*Ability to translate information into computer system specifications, design program logic for computer application, write computer codes, and the like
*Good verbal and written communication skills
*Interpersonal skills necessary in order to interact effectively with management and user-department personnel when gathering and exchanging information related to systems processing needs
*Ability to work independently; must be a self starter and team player
*Advanced analytical skills necessary in order to conceptualize data processing solutions to complex user information requirements and to construct accurate, efficient, and economical solutions to data processing problems.
