Manages staff within the Rich Media Technologies discipline
Provides input on the strategic direction of the Rich Media Technologies discipline
Responsible for utilization, staffing, training, and career planning of direct reports
Ensures direct reports are motivated and driving towards the discipline and department goals
A leader within the department
Provides oversight and guidance to multiple accounts and/or multiple projects
Provides technology thought leadership to clients and within the technology services department
Provide Rich Media architecture guidance in specific subject matter areas
Research new technologies and provide mentoring for iCrossing Rich Media practice
Major Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Highly client facing and supports the Sales Organization through out the sales process
Support the Operations Organization through out the delivery process
Assist and guide the estimation and proposal process
Act as a subject matter expert in the Rich Media Technologies discipline
Travel to support clients, team members and business development opportunities
Provide the appropriate level of technical guidance and oversight to multiple delivery teams
Create the “trusted advisor” relationship between iCrossing and the client.
Create, review, and approve all technical architecture documentation relating to the solution
Research tools, technologies, and training programs
Promote the use of industry best practices on delivery teams
Motivate and support teams to drive towards higher quality and improved efficiency
Mentor project teams and direct reports
Provide formal feedback to direct reports through performance review process
Participate in department and service offering initiatives
A strong leader and a team player who understands how to work effectively in a fast paced, evolving organization
Provide project specific architecture guidance to delivery teams
Work in partnership with server-side development and site architecture teams to define optimal Rich Media technology solutions and processes for constructing web applications
Develop frameworks/core modules
Education/Experience:
10+ years of experience
Bachelors/Masters
10+ years experience in Consulting Services
Experience with multiple SDLC processes
Broad experience across the interactive space
Rich Media Architecture experience with highly available solutions
Knowledge/Technical Skills:
Expert understanding of different JavaScript/AJAX frameworks (Prototype.js, YUI, Dojo) and Flash Frameworks (Adobe AS3/Flex, Cairngorm)
Expert understanding of Object Oriented Programming concepts and design patterns
Experience implementing data-driven web applications using various integration techniques, including web services
Ability to code in multiple languages (XHTML/CSS/JavaScript/AJAX/Flash/AS3/Flex, PHP, JSP, ASP.NET etc)
Possesses a strong understanding of content management systems
Expert understanding of key components of WEB2.0 architecture (AJAX, Social Networking, Blogs etc)
Expert understanding of Search Engine Optimization techniques for various Rich Media Technologies (XHTML/AJAX/Flash)
Staying involved in emerging on-line capabilities, with a focus on innovation in delivering new solutions
