This member of the team is responsible for design & development of primarily web-based applications. As an Interactive Designer, you will be involved with the design and production efforts on a variety of projects in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will work closely with the creative and technology teams to develop new web sites, online marketing designs and product offerings and improve existing ones. You must be able to research, interpret and implement solutions from technical and visual requirements in a consistent and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
• Translate wireframes and other requirements formats into visually compelling and attractive designs to maximize user experience
• Design marketing content and functional user interfaces
• Develop emails, flash banners, and other creative materials to support online marketing campaigns
• Create print materials for offline marketing and internal needs
• Troubleshoot issues with existing or developed systems, and work with the appropriate resources to resolve them
• Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines
• Take responsibility for the success of the project and the company
Requirements:
• Expert knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Adobe Flash, ActionScript and JavaScript.
• Expert knowledge of design technologies including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Expert knowledge of user-centered design processes and principles
• Ability to communicate design rationale and build consensus
• Understanding of browsers and design constraints on the Web
• Understanding of SEO, SEM, permission email and other online marketing strategies
• Understanding of databases in general.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, customer service skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• BS, BA, BFA, MA or MFA
