We have an opening for an experienced Drupal/PHP Developer to work on building out our editorial platform and proprietary advertising model. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is creative, driven by innovation, and wants to be involved in revolutionizing the distribution and monetization of news on the web.
PHP/Drupal Developer
Job responsibilities
* Design, develop and implement modules and api's for Publish2 applications in PHP using the Drupal framework
* Write unit tests and coordinate your development with the CTO and the development team
* Write highly scalable code
* Deploy applications
* Perform version control with SVN and participate in release management
* Show technical leadership in a hands-on, non-bureaucratic, team oriented development environment
Required skills
* Strong PHP and Drupal framework experience
* Experience in building secure and scalable PHP web applications
* Business or financial systems experience a big plus
* LAMP knowledge
* Experience with JQeury and XML, including parsing, schema, and transformations
* Strong grasp of network protocols, caching, synchronization, pooling, threads, concurrency, distributed computing, transactions, and optimization
* Disciplined approach to software development, using test-driven coding and agile project management
* Strong teamwork skills, practical business sense and a passion for delivering relevant, awesome and innovative products
Other useful experience
* Experience with blogging tools such as WordPress, Movable Type, etc.
* Experience with design and media including print, photos, video and audio.
