Data Center Systems Engineer TS/SCI
Key Role:
Support data center strategy, consolidation and migration planning, and design and implementation activities. Support data center requirements gathering, alternative analysis, and transition roadmap development efforts, while helping to identifying the potential impacts to the data center infrastructure, operations and maintenance, and environmental capacity. Apply knowledge of current data center technologies supporting server and network consolidation and virtualization and storage management or standardization, including the establishment of common operating environments supporting shared services. Develop requirements documents, alternative analysis, or other technical planning documentation in support of data center design or migration planning activities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with data center architecture, consolidation, and migration
- Experience in IT consulting
- Experience with system design, implementation, and transition
- TS/SCI clearance
- BA or BS degree required
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in a data center managed services and hosting environment
- Experience with industry best practices, including ITIL
- Experience with server consolidation, including virtualization
- Experience with SAN/NAS and Enterprise Tape Backup
- Experience with requirements gathering and alternative analysis
- ITIL Certification a plus but not required
