Business Resource Solutions, LLC is a shared services organization representing Glacier Technologies LLC for all Human Resource and recruiting activities. Glacier Technologies LLC is currently seeking candidates for the following opening: Senior Database Administrator.
The Senior Database Administrator must have extensive, diverse experience in support of development, testing, training, and production database and web server environments for multiple projects. Detailed project requirements, scheduling, performance, and resources involved are required. The individual must fully understand the requirements, risks, and responsibilities associated with implementation and maintenance of development, testing, training, and production environments in a complex web environment supporting multiple applications in various stages of development. Selected candidate will have demonstrated experience in management and support of large-scale data centers. Experience with migration of applications and diverse server hardware and operating systems is a plus. The Sr. Database Administrator will provide experience in managing large and small projects with multiple technical resources involved. Candidates will define project responsibility and value, scheduling experience, and issue and risk resolution associated with managed projects. Selected candidate will possess the capability to inform, educate, and influence management and employees toward achieving customer's selected goals and initiatives. The Sr. Database Administrator will be an individual who continuously looks for opportunities to improve current processes and procedures and has the capability and experience to document the associated business rules, project methodology, or system artifacts. The selected candidate will have experience evaluating business application needs and position or organizational activity related to project priority and scope. Individual will possess the skills and abilities to function as a member of the organizational training cadre. The selected individual will have extensive troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience in resolving complex production and operations support issues.
M.S. or B.S. Degree or Technical School; Appropriate Certifications.
5 -- 7+ years of experience with Oracle Database Administration; Management of a large scale data center, Technical expertise and experience with 3-tier architecture environment; IBM's WebSphere, PL*SQL; Sun Solaris Systems.
Competent, dynamic, motivated, self-assured leader; Extensive experience managing multiple, diverse database and web-server projects.
