POSITION SUMMARY

The Interactive Visual Designer understands project and client needs. This person conceptualizes, designs, and blueprints user interfaces for websites, alternative interactive interfaces (PSP, touch screen, etc.), online applications, online games, and visual design tasks as needed. They oversee the proper execution of visual and user experience elements during project development. They provide production support to developers and team members. They test and direct visual design quality and enforce visual quality throughout the design process, start to finish.
This person understands all aspects of the interactive and communication design discipline--including, but not limited to, typography, colour, static layout, interactivity, motion, sound, video, and the value of a consistent conceptual approach in design.
This person would also work closely with Interactive Developers, Art Directors and the Creative Director to assist with user experience, site mapping, design documentation, project research, conceptual design and some light coding as needed. This person is comfortable with XHTML/CSS. They are expert in Photoshop; and intermediate in Illustrator, Flash, After Effects, Dreamweaver.
This person is an excellent communicator.
