We currently have a client in San Jose, CA, with the following permanent position:
IT Manager -Information Systems/Technology
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• 2-4 years of PC/LAN experience preferred.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Directs and oversees the overall management information system function by managing IT professionals supervising the systems, programming procedures and operation of computer equipment, coordinating new information systems projects and evaluating possible alternate methods and/or equipment for processing information.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Will directly oversee and/or manage special projects related to information systems.
• Employee has the necessary authority to execute above mentioned job responsibilities, and will have authority to carry out specific responsibilities defined by quality system documents.
• Employee has authority to recommend and initiate preventative and correction action with regard to product nonconformances and quality system activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• 2-4 years of PC/LAN experience preferred.
• Must have a demonstrated ability to manage a departmental budget and make financial decisions.
• Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Must be PC literate (Appropriate certifications preferred).
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Utilizes proper software and technological tools to maintain proper records.
• Ability to use logical step by step procedures to meet job requirements.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Job demands include prolonged sitting, may need to stoop, bend and stand as appropriate.
• Requires coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot.
