If so, I want to speak with you! We have a .NET position available in Grand Prairie, TX (Dallas) on a direct hire or 6 month contract to hire basis. This position is responsible for the architecture, design, development and support of software solutions. There will be a strong focus on project management and the achievement of project completions on-time and within budget. This position will work with employees and clients while following strict system development life cycle processes for software development.
JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Constructing and maintaining large, web-based applications.
-Developing SQL Server databases.
-Creating HTML, CSS and JavaScript-based layouts and user interfaces.
-Providing new ideas for improvements to the product and processes.
-Documenting your work.
-Meeting with project managers, clients or other stakeholders to capture and think through requirements.
-Developing technical architecture plans for applications.
-Meeting quality and timeline milestones to ensure on-time delivery of exceptional products.
-Testing your applications and those of others, to ensure compliance with quality standards.
-Ensuring security, code and performance requirements are met or exceeded.
-Learning new development tools and technologies by attending weekly training and additional special training sessions as needed.
-Must be able to demonstrate the ability to exercise initiative, independent judgment and make sound recommendations.
-Effective written and verbal communications skills.
-Strong research, analysis and problem solving skills.
-Effective planning, time management, and organizational skills to establish priorities.
-Ability to present findings and conclusions clearly and concisely verbally and in writing.
-Perform other duties as required or assigned.
-A team player with strong independent abilities to guide, lead, and adapt new skills, and optimistic and energetic personality that can both work well with others and independently.
SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
-A minimum of 2-5 years of object oriented development experience using Microsoft Technologies including: Visual Basic 6, Visual Basic.NET, ASP & ASP.NET.
-Experience in Object Oriented Analysis & Design, Development, QA Testing, Implementation of Applications, and Developing n-tier applications.
-Experience in developing Internet/Intranet based applications.
-Knowledge of entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
-Experience in the analysis, development, maintenance and documentation of Business Requirements.
-Database programming experience using SQL Server (T-SQL) and thorough knowledge of data transformation services (DTS).
-Ability to communicate in writing and orally in a professional manner.
