Position Description
Perform a broad range of writing/ editing services for the Ocean Today Kiosk project, including script writing and development, eliciting video/ story contributions, editing contributions, managing video/ stories displayed in the kiosk, advising kiosk editorial board members. Candidate will also conduct communications and outreach, interacting with NOAA staff and contributors from within and outside the organization regarding kiosk issues.
Required Skills
6 years experience with communications and media production, traditional science/ technical writing; knowledge of web design, knowledge of digital video/ audio, computer graphics and editing software, familiarity and experience with developing and producing web and hard copy products; experience with Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut Studio Suite, iMovie HD, Macromedia Flash, Magpie or similar captioning application, Microsoft Office Suite, Quicktime professional, and Windows Media highly desirable. Good communication and excellent organizational skills a must.
Education
BA/ BS in Digital Communications, Digital Media or related field.
