Our client is looking for a Sr Sql Developer to help service their business functions relating to database development. In this rolw you will re-engineer and integrat the existing Personal Insurance Finance planning Tool and improve management information by providing tighter integration of their planning tool. The responsibilities of the position include being a key business resource in identifying needs for the PI MI and Finance organizationas well as lead in the automation, execution, and sustainability of management reporting tools.
Required Skills:
• Must have data integration, data loads, data refreshes and reporting/analytics experinece.
• Advanced level knowledge of Data Management principles, data warehousing and extensive hands-on experience designing, building and optimizing large scale relational databases and queries using MS-SQL Server 2005, MS Visual Studio and Cognos-8 BI Reporting a must.
• Strong relational database design skills and data query capabilities.
• Strong application development, including writing complex stored procedures and functions in SQL-2005.
• Other relevant skills include OLAP data cubes development using APPLIX TM1 and data extracts information access to our Data Warehouse platform in Teradata.
• Knowledge of insurance products is a definite plus.
Functional Experience:
• Knowledge of Insurance Property & Casualty products and systems desirable.
• Must be familiar with various SDLC concepts and have experience with Data Warehousing or Business Intelligence initiatives (Analysis and Reporting for P&C Insurance or Financial Service industry provider).
Technical Skills:
MS-SQL Server-2005, MS-Web Services, HTML, Javascript, Transact-SQL, XML, Cognos-8.x Reporting, MS-Visual Studio (VB.Net). MS-ACCESS. (Agnostic), Applix TM1
Web development skills using .NET 2.x Framework, VS.NET, C#.NET, VB, ASP.NET, .NET Web Services, ADO.NET, VISIO, Source Safe, XML, JavaScript and SQL Server2005.
