We are looking for a Training Specialist- Taylor/Tx.
Candidates should posses the following minimum knowledge and skills:
TERM: 8 Months (with Benefits)
Essential Job Functions:
•Develop selected training courses following guidelines and processes as directed by CLIENT covering subject matter across one or more of CLIENT's business areas including power system operations, market operations, commercial operations and market information systems
•Coordinate development of training courses with learning specialists, subject matter experts and other support personnel
•Provide subject matter expertise and overall leadership in the development of training courses for selected courses from the CLIENT Nodal Market Curriculum.
•Facilitate instructor-led and web-cast online training.
•Conduct and or attend train-the-trainer sessions in preparation for training delivery.
•Participate in providing feedback to training session developers.
•Develop and maintain effective working knowledge of CLIENT Nodal Market design and protocol.
•Apply CLIENT established business procedures consistently with all Market Participants and protect CLIENT proprietary and confidentiality information.
•Facilitate and participate as needed in Market Participant meetings in support of Nodal Market training.
•Other training duties as assigned.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Computer Sciences, Engineering, or relevant field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Masters Degree in these areas preferred.
•10 years of demonstrable experience in the electric industry or related field and a strong understanding of the reliable operation of an interconnected transmission and distribution system required.
•Experience in development and/or delivery of training preferred
•Experience preferred in performing some combination of business development, professional training, client relationship management, or business process consulting.
•Effective working knowledge of deregulated electric markets preferred.
•Possess and maintain proficient computer skills in common business applications such as Excel, Word, MS Project, Power Point, and Web applications.
•Ability to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task with the ability to plan, coordinate and complete work assignments.
•Effective facilitation and coordination skills.
•Professional oral and written communication of complex technical or functional issues.
