Our teams are hard at work on our next films, Bolt, directed by Chris Williams, The Princess and the Frog, directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, and Rapunzel, directed by Glen Keane and Dean Wellins.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join the team at our Burbank, CA studio.
The Business Analyst will serve as liaison between Technology and end users in departments such as Human Resources, Finance and Production Management. They will work with users to analyze business requirements and review/produce specifications for any new/changed technology applications.
Responsibilities:
•Conduct business process modeling and generate applicable use cases for technology functionality testing.
•Conduct research to determine whether solutions exist within or outside the company.
•Analyze cost & benefits of build versus buy solutions.
•Work with technology to ensure they understand the specifications and validate proposed implementations.
•Assist application team in transaction analysis and data mapping.
•Work with technology to rapidly prototype solutions and ensure timely acceptance of solutions.
Special projects may include:
•Develop stable, flexible databases according to current and anticipated business rules & policies.
•Providing logical data modeling and physical database design solutions.
Experience:
•College degree, specialized training or equivalent work experience
•Five plus years of relevant work experience including at least three years of business systems analysis or application development experience
•Experience with and understanding of systems, functional analysis and design, and issue triage and resolution.
•Experience facilitating focus groups and conducting usability studies.
•Strong analytical skills and writing skills, including solid experience in writing functional and technical specifications
•Experience setting up test scenarios.
•Experience in HCI (Human Computer Interaction) design, with a particular focus on Web applications.
•Experience in developing web based solutions utilizing one or more of: Java, JS/AJAX, Ruby on Rails, or Django.
Desired:
•Experience with entertainment production, including animation, visual effects or video game production, or other industries with project based and cyclical employee deployment patterns.
