The Web Graphic Designer provides user interface and media design for Augsburg Fortress sales and marketing Web sites within a legacy Java Server Page environment and growing Microsoft SharePoint development environment. The position is responsible for designing and producing the individual Web pages, promotional graphics, Web video and UI templates used throughout sales and marketing Web sites and corporate Intranet.
KEY RESULT AREAS
Provide graphic design for the site?s overall marketing and branding image, and incidental graphical elements as needed.
Provide page layout design, direction, and creation of Web pages in cooperation with Microsoft .NET / Office SharePoint Developer.
Other duties as assigned.
RELATIONSHIPS
Report to Marketing Communications Manager.
Collaborative support relationship with members of Marketing Communications and Technology & Marketing Systems Groups.
Act as project lead with Marketing, Sales and Human Resources staff to execute Web projects.
External relationships with vendors and other contractors for the purpose of obtaining information and support.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Desired Education and Experience:
Undergraduate or art/design school degree with emphasis in commercial art and communications
Demonstrated graphic arts skills with an emphasis on Web design and user interfaces
Demonstrated animation / motion graphics design
Strong background in HTML, CSS and Flash Web development, their interaction on Web pages, and their use in current versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer
Working knowledge of Web scripting languages: JavaScript and ActionScript
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with Web media creation using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash Professional and Apple Final Cut Studio within the Macintosh environment
Demonstrate basic knowledge of and experience with dynamically generated Web pages using Microsoft SharePoint Designer within the Windows environment
Experience with project management in Web development
