Connection Strategies Enterprises, Inc. is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill an open Sr. Data Warehouse Analyst position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES WOULD INCLUDE:
**Work with vendors, data specialists and business partners to define requirements.
**Develop EDW infrastructure in accordance with existing Logical Data Models and Enterprise Architecture standards.
**Develop, catalogue, and provide re-usable services for data mapping, extraction, and cross-reference to legacy systems.
**Anticipate & resolve data integration issues across applications and analyze data sources to highlight data quality issues.
**Play a leadership role in the design, implementation and development of ETL processes against high-volume data sources in a full SDLC environment.
**Set and enforce ETL standards and architecture for the project and ensure that the ETL requirements are adequately understood and documented.
**Assist the business analyst in mapping the data from source to target and prepare prototype models to support the development efforts.
**Collaborate with other cross-functional IT architects (e.g., for EAI and Technical infrastructure) on development of EDW components.
**Communicate and report task-level status to Management.
**Work with cross functional teams to define activities, timelines, resources and critical paths.
**Jointly develop and monitor adherence to agreed upon policies/procedures and SLA's.
**Support development and implementation of enabling technologies.
**Drives innovation and a focus on continuous improvement within the Data Warehouse organization.
**Production support will be required on a rotational basis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
**BA or BS is required
**A minimum of 5 years experience with data warehouse lifecycles including the design and building of data models to support business reporting.
**Experience with data warehousing elements such as star schema, snowflake schema, cube design, ODS and Dimensional or Aggregative designs and others.
**Understanding of core ETL architectural principles such as modularity, restartability, parallelization, and table-driven business rules.
**Robust knowledge of relational database concepts, SQL and procedural SQL.
**Experience in designing strategies for ETL audit, load, balance, exception handling, and high data throughput.
**Skilled in data modeling theory and application including experience using a data-modeling tool to generate logical and physical data models such as Erwin. Use of tools (Toad, Rapid SQL) to diagnose database performance issues, create reporting index strategies, and improve database designs based on SQL execution.
**Able to lead business requirement definition activities and translate them into logical and physical database designs.
**Able to write business and technical specifications.
**Able to facilitate and lead large group discussions.
**Must have experience with Microsoft SQL Server; experience with mainframe databases a plus.
**Previous Business Objects Experience highly preferred.
**Ability to program in XML, VB, VB.Net, ASP.Net, and develop web services is a plus.
