We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer that has previous writing experience for a major oil and energy company(Chevron preferred) to assist our client in the following:
Overall scope/purpose of the project/position: Ability to translate complex technical information into understandable information for non-technical audiences. Generation of newsletters, articles, website information, power point presentations, etc.
Size of Team: Project team is currently growing, will exceed 200 at it's peak. This position will report into the Change Management Team.
Responsibilities:
* Generate communications of a technical nature intended for a non-technical audience
* Communications means include, but are not limited to, newsletters, articles, training material, websites, PowerPoint presentation, etc.
* Will interview various resources for articles
* Meet project deadlines
Skill Requirements;
* Required - 3-5 Years of Previous experience working for a major Oil and Energy company . Hiring Manager prefers 5+ years but does not want to rule out anybody with 3-4 years of experience.
* Required - PC applications including, but not limited to, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
* Desired - Web applications (Dreamweaver)
* Required - Ability to be flexible to changing priorities
* Required - Ability to work in a fast pace environment
* Required - Ability to work in a team environment
* Required - Ability to communicate well with others. This is especially important when interviewing resources for articles.
* Required - Safety focus
