Exciting, rapidly expanding online consumer lender in downtown Chicago is seeking an experienced QA Engineer.

Essential Functions:
• Analyzing business/functional requirements and use case documents
• Create/Update test cases based on new/updated functional requirements
• Estimating testing effort, analysis of change and initiating the scheduling of test phase tasks and dependencies
• Creating System Test Plans and Test Cases
• Setting up, troubleshooting and maintaining test environments
• Conducting System, Regression and Integration testing manually and through Automation tools
• Logging and tracking issues across the SDLC
• Provide reporting on testing results

Required Qualifications:
• At least 4-6 years of QA Experience
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant experience
• Experience with Linux/Unix is a must
• Ability to design and execute manual test plans is key
• Experience testing Web Applications is important
• A deep understanding of relational databases and SQL is a must
• Experience with Automation tools is desired
• Development experience, preferably in Ruby, C or C++ is a big plus
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSql is a big plus
• Experience with Watir, Selenium, and Perl are all a big plus
• Experience with banking or financial systems as well as understanding of accounting is a big plus
