Modis is currently seeking a Web Designer for a long term contract opportunity with a large Government Integrator.
Location: Downtown, DC
Web Designer
The incumbent will work in a team environment supporting the design, development, and maintenance of the client's Internet and Intranet Web sites.
Qualifications:
· Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of user-interface design principles and best practices for Web sites and software applications.
· Knowledge of human factors, user-centered design processes, interaction design guidelines, usability methodologies, industry standards and trends, platform standards and software development.
· Strong background in designing ADA compliant user interfaces for large Web sites as well as Web applications.
· Expertise in creating XHTML documents styled and positioned with CSS.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Highly proficient using Adobe CS3 tools.
· Polished client interaction and presentation skills.
· Ability to grasp new technologies quickly.
· Self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
· Flash/Flex 2/ActionScript/ColdFusion knowledge a plus.
· Adobe certifications a plus.
· Bachelor's degree in computer or graphic design related discipline preferred.
