Overview
We are currently looking for a talented Web Developer to join our fast paced, fun to work with team. You will code website interfaces that are pixel perfect to the provided mockups. You have a passion for CSS Standards and a drive to learn and adapt to emerging web technologies. You have great organizational skills and create clean XHTML and CSS that you are proud of. Ideally, you be well versed in JavaScript and have had experience developing AJAX powered client side web applications.
Responsibilities:
Web Development
• Updates and maintains existing Bargain Network Web Site Content
• Works with Graphic Designers to slice graphics and create new pages as well as work with Software Engineers to implement new features.
• Adheres to strict XHTML and CSS(2) standards
Web Design
• Uses Photoshop to create and prepare graphics
• Collaborates with Graphic Designers to develop web solutions, optimized for download efficiency
Required Skills
• 2+ years web application development experience as well as 1+ years graphic design experience
• Strong XHTML, CSS(2), W3C standards and Adobe Creative Suite experience
• Must be able to hand-code cross browser and cross-platform compliant web user interfaces
• Team Player. Must be comfortable working with others in a team-based production environment.
Desired Skills
• AJAX development experience
• XML, XSL, XPATH knowledge
• Experience working within enterprise level web applications
• Familiar working with a source-controlled code base and Visual Studio development environment
