Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for a Video Animation Designer position.
The position description is as follows:
The Video Animation Designer is responsible for creating and programming visual effects, animation and video ads to run on plasma screens throughout the casino.
The Video Animation Designer:
* Creation of visual effects, animated or video-based ads for internal and external venues working closely with Senior Video Animation Designer and Creative Supervisor on content development and approval.
* Responsibles for the creative editing of video content with Final Cut Pro.
* Schedules ads to run using our proprietary software package.
* Monitors casino screens to be sure content is running accurately.
* Monitors proprietary software to be sure server and controllers are running effectively.
* Leads troubleshooting when controller issues arise.
* Supports the Creative team on special projects as assigned.
* Supports Internet with compressed video and audio
* Compresses audio and video projects for multiple formats and distribution
* Authors DVDs
* Troubleshoots computers, Macs and PC (PC work includes maintenance of Casino video network)
* Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications:
* At least 2 years experience using visual effects and animation software.
* A 2-year Associate Degree in multi-media design or related field
* Must be able to creatively incorporate titles and special effects as well as mix multiple audio sources.
* Knowledgeable in current desktop editing trends and techniques.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
* Skilled in After Effects/Motion
* Understanding of TV and video formats and delivery standards
* Skilled in Final Cut Studio (Final Cut Pro, Motion, Compressor, DVD Studio Pro, Soundtrack Pro)
* Skilled in Creative Suite 3 (Photoshop, Illustrator, some knowledge of InDesign)
* Proficient in a Mac and PC environment
* Troubleshooting and computer network experience, preferred.
* Basic photography and videography abilities are a plus
* Good verbal and written communication ability.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* May require some second and third shift schedules
