Position:
Senior Server QA Automation Engineer
Skyfire is looking for a talented QA Automation Engineer to join the engineering team immediately! At Skyfire, QA is an engineering function! This is a great opportunity to play a critical role in delivering a game changing mobile web experience. The selected candidate will be chartered to lead the development and deployment of automated test systems for the Skyfire server application suite.

Responsibilities
The QA engineer will be part of the server infrastructure team responsible for high quality scalable streaming services to mobile phones. The responsibilities will include the following:
1. Own, design and develop test jigs, regression tests and test automation modules for white and black box testing of all server side components
2. Grow a QA team and also work with professional services vendors
3. Be responsible for the quality metrics and work closely with engineering to deliver the services on time
4. Create and maintain testing infrastructure, tools, processes and environments
Required Skills
1. Demonstrated track record of full life cycle QA development for complex server-centric applications
2. Demonstrable software implementation expertise in C, C++ in building regression tests and automated test suites
3. In-depth debugging skills; ability to reach out and use team strengths to solve problems
4. Use of tools and leverage of open source technologies to put together testing and automation frameworks
5. Ability to work both independently and in small collaborative teams

Required Experience
At least four years of hands-on white box testing, scripting and automation experience. Programming experience in C/C++ and/or Java. Scripting skills using shell, Perl, PHP and Python. Basic Sys admin experience on Windows and Unix for application server infrastructures including installation, configuration and maintenance. Experience in analyzing and debugging servers and cluster configurations including HTTP traffic debugging. Bonus experience would include streaming video, video processing pipeline, mobile data application testing.
Education
BS in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant discipline and experience.You will be rewarded with a competitive pay structure and equity and a great opportunity for advancement with a fast moving high growth company.
