Job Description:
This position will oversea all data management functions for an intensive sales and marketing business in which data is the key driver to revenue generation. As such this is a highly visible role which requires an individual who can perform and communicate at an executive level. The role also requires a multi faceted approach in managing the business intelligence, analysis and reporting as well as the enterprise data warehouse, database administration, and data mining functions of the operation. The organization processes more than 108,000,000 consumers to generate and evaluate the best individuals to sell to. Our data structure encompasses 7 terra bytes of information in our enterprise data warehouse alone. Our call center dials 75,000 calls a week. These functions are all managed through this role and the success of our company depends on it being managed effectively.
Experience:
Experience implementing data warehouse from the ground up
Experience managing an EDW for a strong data minded company
Experience in running business intelligence, reporting and analysis teams in large scale operation
Understanding of Cognos 7 and 8 environments including setting up data cubes, dashboarding and data structures
Technical understanding of SQL, data architecture and schemas
Director related management exposure
Exceptional communication skills
Project management expertise
Ability to motivate team
Energetic personality, quick thinker
Essential Functions:

Oversee, direct, manage and monitor the Data Warehouse and Data Administration team including seeing through the completion of the installation of a comprehensive EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse) as well as leading a successful strategic agenda to incorporate further data sources, refinements and iterations down the road.
Standardize all data architecture and deploy data management, administration and structure best practice including database programming, deployment, maintenance and monitoring.
Oversee day to day operation data issues as reported to the Help Desk and manage successfully the resolution of these issues through the talent in the team. Operate and manage aggressive service culture and internal SLA driven towards performance and creating a positive customer perception.
Work closely with the VPs of IT to identify and lead strategic direction within the data solutions and information services arena.
Manage the reporting, business intelligence and analysis aspect of our business including a comprehensive Cognos dynamic reporting environment.
Oversee the development and support of reporting and analysis within the entire enterprise.
Drive through proper management of reporting and data additional revenue opportunities to the organization.
Implement performance management, evaluation and measurement of all staff with clear and decisive goals and objectives for the team.
Education:
Four year degree is required.
