Technical Writer--Contract
Responsibilities:
Prepare IPC's, CMM's, AMM's, WDM's, RSPL's and SB's for aircraft interior products Investigate engineering data packages
Consult with engineering, program management or vendors as needed.
Write, edit, and update SGML and Word maintenance manuals, wire diagram manuals and Service Bulletins
Establish compliance of publication manuals with respect to HT and ATA requirements
Provide illustrations using CAD software packages
Research and compile required electrical wire and equipment data for inclusion in maintenance manuals
Check publication packages for completeness and accuracy
Assist in training lower level engineers.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in applicable engineering discipline or equivalent experience required
3-5 years experience preferred in writing or publishing maintenance manuals
Ability to interpret engineering drawings
Ability to work within a team environment
Computer literate including Word, Excel, and CAD programs
SGML a plus
Lifting requirement: 30 lb
