The Core Search Team is just wrapping up a very exciting Fall 2007 release that has resulted in a fourfold increase in the size of our search index, significant relevance gains measured via industry standard benchmarks, and spurred a significant rise in our query share (and msft stock price). On top of that, Microsoft is flexing its substantial muscle to help drive search query share across all online services. As you walk the hallways you can feel the energy and sense of purpose as we finish our Fall 2007 release and prepare for a Spring 2008 release full of innovative features that will change the game in Search.

Now more than ever is a great time to join the Core Search engineering team. FY08 will prove to be our most exciting year yet in terms of bringing great new innovations to market, maturing our engineering machine and release processes, and substantially growing our team.

Developer engineering team with an expanding charter is the fastest growing feature team within Core Search. Come and plug in and drive test strategies and plans within the data pipes in and out of Core
Search that enable scenarios for developers, search engine optimizers, data providers and webmasters.
Openings in the following product areas/themes:
· any developer to easy include search core data on any application with Expanding programming languages (C#, JSON, Java, Javascript, PHP, Ruby etc.) with flexible protocols (xml, soap, json etc.),
· search engine optimizer to unlock core search mysteries for search engine optimizers to better improve relevance
· communities owners to build portals using core search data easily with tons on flexibility
· data providers to drop trusted data in search backend
Test team looking for strong IC candidates with the following job requirements.
1. Experience in testing C++ or C distributed systems, databases and multi-threaded programming is preferred
2. C# Development skills strongly preferred
3. Great problem solving skills, with a strong bias for quality and engineering excellence
4. Demonstrated experience shipping products - on time with known risks
5. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
