We currently have an exciting opening for a Ruby on Rails Software Engineer. This is a great opportunity to work on an agile team with cutting edge technology. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with web technologies and architectures, with exceptional skills in Ruby on Rails.
Responsibilities:
Build functional applications and modules on high-traffic websites
Collaborate with team members to plan and design innovative web applications
Develop prototypes rapidly for evaluation and validation purposes
Document code and system designs
Keep abreast of latest technologies and trends
Qualifications:
1 year experience developing with Ruby on Rails
3 years web development experience, preferably using in Rails, Python, or Java
Experience developing Web 2.0 sites and lightweight web services
Experience in DHTML, CSS, and web architectures
Experience with JSON and XML, including parsing, schemas, and transformations
Ability to work in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Versed in usability and consumer experience concepts
Experience with Agile software development processes
Experience with large-scale and distributed software architectures
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field is required
Desired Experience:
Experience with search technology
Contributions to open source community
