Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior JAVA Developer to work out of Vancouver.

Duties and Responsibilities

Solve technologically challenging problems.

Developing, customizing and deploying Portal Software using Java, Relational Databases, XML/XSLT and web services.

Work in small client-service teams.

Skills and Experiences

5+ years demonstrated experience with J2EE technologies, specifically Servlets, Web Services and XML/XSLT

Experience developing solutions for enterprise customers.

Strong understanding of XML, DTD and XML schemas, XSL/XSLT and XPath

Expertise with database programming using Java frameworks (JDBC / Hibernate)

Demonstrated experience architecting and documenting technical solutions.

Experience developing or working with Content Management Systems (CMS) / Portals.

Desirable Skills

Developing and working with web services

Experience with common open source development/testing tools for Java including JUnit, HTTP Unit, Ant and Log4j

Java certification (SCJP, SCWCD)
