Systems Administrator --

Minimum Requirements:
1-2 Years of AWS or AZURE
Scripting Tools: Salt (preferred), Chef, Puppet (1 Year)
SQL Anywhere, MySQL, & PostGres (Preferred), but Database experience of any kind helps. (1-2 Years)

• Basic TCP/IP networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Solid understanding of Internet based technologies and technical concepts. • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid analytical, critical and creative problem solving skills.
• High level of personal organization and attention to detail is essential.
• Previous experience with PostGres, SQL Anywhere, & MySQL. The Systems Administrator - Cloud Operations will work closely with Engineering, Information Technology, Marketing, Host Vendors, and Customer Support departments to ensure that customers receive the highest level of quality service from the supplied systems hardware and software.
Requirements Education: Bachelor of Science degree in computer-related field (or 4 -- 5 years' experience in related field in lieu of bachelor degree).
Experience: Minimum 5 years of technical support, network/server, and database administration/hosting experience. Other preferred skills: Windows/Linux Server Administration. TCP/IP Networking. Amazon Web Services Administration. Specific skills and experience in addition to those listed above may be required for specific positions.

Cloud Operations Position Summary The Systems Administrator -
Cloud Operations will be responsible for automating, organizing, monitoring, and maintaining all SaaS applications and systems (all cloud based systems) provided as a service offering to utility customers with minimal supervision. This will include the following duties:
• Evaluate current SaaS environments to create, maintain, and ensure adherence to an operations manual of administration and support for all hosted systems.
• Ensure software or hardware trouble tickets are responded to in a timely manner, verify any response time SLAs are met or exceeded.
• Ensure backup systems and procedures are working and provide direction in implementing and enhancing the processes and restore customer data as required.
• Research and identify tools to automate the monitoring of SaaS systems.
• Install, deploy, configure and support SaaS systems and supporting infrastructure across Development, QA and Production environments.
• Support the deployment and onboarding of new customers to 's SaaS software platform. • Evaluate the production system for possible defects and enhancements. Includes troubleshooting and making recommendations to resolve customer issues when the system is not performing as expected.
• Maintain new AWS features, product changes, and cost changes. Provide updates and recommendations to management for adjustments to SaaS implementations.
• Work outside of business hours may be required (requirement to be on call for system down/critical issues support).
Qualifications and Skills:
• Previous experience with Linux (CentOS a plus) and Windows operating systems.
• Experience maintaining a virtual environment required. Amazon Web Services/EC2 experience a plus.
• Experience working is a SaaS or hosted application environment is also a plus
