As always, need someone that ideally has enterprise-level experience, has led a small team of developers in the past and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities may include:
1. Works with a technical team on the development and support of software applications.
2. Responsible for team management that may include: technical guidance/mentoring, enforcing industry standards and best practices, task allocation, hiring/firing recommendations to management.
3. Responsible for project management that may include: project planning, deliverables tracking, vendor management, and project reporting to technical and business management.
4. Works with user communities to understand business requirements.
5. Performs analysis and documentation for system design as well as on-going documentation of development.
6. Codes using specific technologies and tools in keeping with current technology trends and standards.
7. Performs testing of applications and performs bug fixes, working with testers and users to insure quality of code and proper application functionality.
8. Provides technical support during implementation efforts, working with technical team members and with business users as required to provide troubleshooting and solutions to technical issues.
9. Attends meetings with technical and business management to report project status and conveys top-down communications and directives to technical team.
10. Provide on-going post-implementation technical support of applications.
11. Creates user-end documentation and may be involved in user training.
12. Partnering with business users to gather all requirements to formulate business specifications and translating those into business functionality.
13. Documenting workflows and results of business analysis and obtaining sign-off from users on specifications.
14. Assisting the technical team in translating application functionality into application architecture and the production of a business functionality requirements statement.
15. Communicating the business directives, goals, and needs to the technical team and serving as business interface from the enterprise's operational management team managing expectations and defining business satisfaction metrics.
16. Designing and executing test plans to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are implemented properly and meet ROI objectives.
17. Understanding the long-term business objectives and suggesting strategies to meet those objectives; introducing innovation to business processes through technology if appropriate.
18. Assisting the enterprise's business operations staff in developing content or other materials; recommending enhancements and identifying new business requirements
19. Applies knowledge of system capacity to determine feasibility of projects.
20. Maintains current knowledge of new hardware and software and recommends upgrading to maintain efficient operation.
21. Works with IT application analysts and programmers as necessary.
22. Performs analysis of department production and redesigns workflow if appropriate
23. Develops, edits and maintains operating procedures and standards manuals.
24. Serves as a consultant to the enterprise in work measurement, system studies or cost/effectiveness analysis.
25. Provides assistance as required to organizations outside of the enterprise to improve internal procedures that may be advantageous to the enterprise.
26. Conducts training sessions to implement new or improved systems and procedures.
27. Conducts meetings on all levels of management for purposes of presentations, reviews, approvals of recommendations, etc.
28. Performs at or above the enterprise's performance standard and specifically for procedures development and analysis.
29. Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
30. Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing business services policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, and make recommendations in these areas.
