The Mill IT Manager serves as the key liaison between the mill
management team and information technology. This role is part of the
Business Information Management (BIM) organization that supports the
Industrial Packaging Business. The position is located at our paper
mill in Rome, Georgia

The Mill IT Manager coordinates all IT teams necessary to provide
services for the mill operations. This includes managing the delivery of
services through the Mill IT Operating Model which includes Business
Information Management (BIM), Information Technology Solution Services,
and Process Information Management). This position is responsible for
developing solid IT plans, aligning IT objectives to mill objectives,
executing improvement projects and providing cost effective IT services
for the Rome mill.

Key Accountabilities:
• Coordinates the delivery of all information technology services
for the Business facility. Must acquire a solid understanding of the
network of service providers and also build strong working relationships
with these providers.

• Leads an effective prioritization and resource allocation process
for the mill. Coordinates multiple requests by engaging in priority
setting with key members of Mill Leadership and Regional BIM IT Manager,
Drives for, and effectively communicates in support of prioritization
that maximizes the system wide value to IP.

• Ensure the necessary IT operating model practices (i.e., timely
involvement of necessary ITSS and Center resources, PDP usage, project
phase gating, etc.) are known, practiced, and measured.

• Collaborate whenever necessary with Business Information
Management Leadership- Manufacturing to ensure proper: planning,
execution of project deliverables and change efforts, coordination of
service and/or support activities
• Responsible for
o Relationship Management with the mill in the areas of Cost
Management, Capital and Outage Coordination, Business and IT Operational
Excellence, IT Incident Management and Escalation, Coordination of
Break Fix across IT and Business, Portfolio of Key Mill Focus Items and
Functional Requirement Analysis
o Ensure IT Business Continuity which includes validating each IT
Service Provider has an effective DR Plan. (includes fully tested)
o Ensuring Proactive Stewardship for Critical Systems supporting
Environmental, Safety, and Production Activities.
• Develop a deep working knowledge of the businesses' key strategic
issues and objectives to properly identify possible implications and
opportunities
• Develop a working knowledge of IP's Supply Chain Operating Model
(i.e., process implications and enablement requirements) and the Sustain
organization

Scope:
• Accountable to mill management for mill related IT initiatives at
a complex fully integrated mill, operating 24/7/365.
• Responsible for budget preparation, budget adherence and
accountability for site charge-backs including assurance of the overall
IT resource allocations necessary for mill performance.
• Responsible for Relationship Management with the mill key lead
teams/ managers and resources including reliability of the IT
environment required for daily mill operations. Provide guidance to all
IT groups impacting mill to ensure optimum IT services to meet mill key
operation needs.
• Provides leadership and direction for projects/initatives that
span the IPG mill system.
• Collaborate with IPG IT and ITSS managers to define, refine and
monitor service levels needed for mill operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science Management Information Systems preferred, and/or a combination of related education and 10 years applicable experience of related IT experience supporting required knowledge and capabilities acquisition. • Experience in effectively managing work groups • Exposure to project management • Experience in industrial and/or high uptime on line transaction processing environments. Preferred Candidates will have: • 10 years experience in paper manufacturing. • Experience in Successful IT Project Management • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
