CMA is recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager with Scientific Instrumentation experience in the Midwest United States. The position is listed in Chicago, however, an ideal candidate can be located anywhere in the Midwest Region of the US.
This position will execute sales plan to achieve sales targets and forecasts. Perform all sales related activities in assigned territory. Identify key accounts in the territory and establish strategies to acquire new accounts and maintain relationships with existing accounts. Effectively follow up on sales inquiries including frequent customer visits and field demonstrations. Acquire expert level knowledge of specifications, capabilities and customer applications for company's products and those of competitors. Report on marketing, trade show and competitor activity in assigned territory. Attend and staff trade show exhibits as and when required. This is a full time position with benefits, car allowance and travel expenses included.
Additional Attributes:
· Minimum of 4 years experience selling high-end, analytical instrumentation to industrial, government and university accounts
· Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
· Familiarity with laboratory procedures
· Strong PC skills
· Proven success arguing value propositions to penetrate and establish sales in competitor key accounts
· Physical ability to lift and carry demonstration instruments (up to 75 lbs)
· Proven ability to work independently in a remote territory
· B.Sc. / B.E. in chemistry, physics, materials science or related discipline
