ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Monitors Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) system and ensures master data is accurate
•Creates complex SQL queries and develops PL/SQL to solve production issues and provide support
•Examines daily shipments (IB, OB, T2T) in OTM, identifying gaps and reconciling discrepancies
•Tests OTM processes for business requirements of shipments and freight settlement
•Analyzes transportation performance trends
•Allocates costs, identifies inaccuracies and ensures correct cost distributions
•Ensures vendor events transpire accurately (IB, OB, T2T)
•Notifies responsible personnel of identified gaps in vendor shipment events
•Updates schedules in OTM as appropriate, making decisions based on feedback
•Reconciles daily orders (IB, OB, T2T)
•Reconciles financial report exceptions
•Analyzes shipment and order details
•Assists in the development and reporting of transportation KPI's
•Manages user logins, passwords, roles and preferences
•Creates daily and weekly reports for transportation management
•Researches and prepares customer quotes, interfaces with Commercial/Sales
•Researches and prepares pricing for customer proposals, interfaces with Solutions Analyst and Managers
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
•Expert level with Microsoft Office -- specifically Excel
•Experience with tools such as TOAD, SQL Developer and PL/SQL Developer.
•Strong planning and problem solving skills.
•Excellent decision making skills in time sensitive environment
•Excellent communication and customer service skills
•Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
•Team oriented, able to work in cross functional teams
•Strong critical thinking skills
•Ability to work irregular hours and overtime where required
•Professional demeanor, capable of communicating at all organizational levels
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
•4-year Degree required, preferably in Business or IT with minimum of 2 years experience in data analysis.
•Must have experience in writing complex SQL queries and PL/SQL programming, Oracle 11g/10g.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
•Physical demands are consistent with a professional office setting.
•Regular sitting at work station for 25 -- 75% of the work shift
•Frequent standing and walking
