Responsibilities:

We are seeking a hands-on Director of IT Operations to take full responsibility over the company's physical and virtual infrastructure. As the Director, you will have an opportunity to shape the architecture, deployment, and operations of our critical systems. As the founding member of the IT team, the Director will report directly to the CTO and have the opportunity to build out the IT organization as our company continues to scale.

In this newly created position,Identified's Director of IT Operations will be a highly motivated, detail-oriented candidate who has prior experience within a dynamic and successful "start-up" in either network engineering or systems operations and administration.

Requirements:

3-5 Years experience within a IT/Operations management role.

5-10 years of experience in a production consumer web or SaaS environment.

M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Experience architecting, designing, and implementing switching/routing environments.

Knowledge of DNS, NFS, iSCSI, IPsec, BGP, OSPF, SNMP, etc.

Experience with Ubuntu and JunOS.

Experience with RDMS's - preferably Postgres

Experience with Bash, Perl, Ruby, or other scripting languages.

Occasional travel as required for data center work.

Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

Bonus:

Experience with AWS EC2, ELB, VPC, etc.

Experience with Nagios or other monitoring or alerting systems

Experience with Chef, Puppet, or other automated deployment/configuration systems.
