Relic Entertainment, studio of THQ Inc, is the award winning RTS developers of Homeworld, Dawn of War and Company of Heroes. What you will be doing:
As a Generalist Programmer, you would be responsible for core engine systems and tools. You'd be working with an existing engine and tools set and would interact with all of the team as you make sure that development and the game itself run smoothly and within the performance budgets.
• Maintain and develop features of a game engine and the tools that go with it.
• Interact with artists, designers, and audio teams to ensure content can be produced in the most efficient manner possible.
• Help ensure the game runs within performance and memory budgets.
What you should have:
• An interest in working on core game features and tools
• Experience shipping at least one product as a programmer
• 2 years of equivalent experience as a programmer
• Strong C++ knowledge
• C# knowledge
• Great multitasking skills
• Basically can you program? Are you a pleasant person to work with? Can you get things done? Yes? We'd love to work with you!
What would be awesome:
• Formal Engineering degree, Computer Science degree
• LUA, Python, or other interpreted languages
• A love for games!
