The Software Engineer will actively participate in product development and enhancements including documentation, code development, and unit testing of releases while adhering to Engineering processes and workflows with minimal guidance or direction from superiors.

Responsibilities:

-Develop new web based software using:
Visual C#
SQL Server - TSQL, Table development, normalization, etc.
.Net Visual Studio
-Provide analysis of requirements and feature design initiatives to assist in project planning of design initiatives
-Support bug fixes and implement enhancements to applications in Production
-Work with the SQA team on defect resolution
-Meet SLAs for addressing issues found in production
-Create design and user documentation as needed
-Utilize, communicate and enforce coding standards
-Performs code reviews and tests
-Seek and participate in personal development opportunities to maintain a detailed knowledge of industry standards, engineering best practices, and RDC business needs
-Train and mentor other developers on engineering best practices
Requirements:

Education

-Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related scientific field or equivalent work experience
Experience

-4+ years of experience developing software products on either Windows or Linux platforms (Windows preferred)
-3+ years of C# .Net experience with an emphasis on creating database driven web applications
-2+ years enterprise development experience or product development
-A solid working knowledge of at least three of the following: C, C++, Java, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, SVN, Oracle, MSSQL, Microsoft Visual Studio, Eclipse IDE and JBOSS
-Solid verbal and written communication skills
-Experience using source management tools such as SVN or similar and problem tracking tools such as Bugzilla
-Experience with Agile Development Methodologies
-Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer
-Able to pass a background check
Special Skills or Knowledge

-Understands the benefits of various programming languages
-Possesses significant knowledge of client/server and internet systems architectures
-Ability to work in a team or with multiple organizational departments in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
-Detailed knowledge of industry standards and engineering best practices
