A front-end developer (web designer) is needed to develop various static and dynamic web pages from design concept through deployment in a high-volume production environment.
In addition to visual execution, the designer is also responsible for the production and repurposing of site content (to include text/graphics/audio content) along with creative copywriting and editing skills.
Additional responsibilities may include the design and production of in-house marketing materials and/or other design collateral.
The ideal candidate must display excellent written and oral skills with demonstrated interpersonal and organizational abilities. The candidate must be able to work in a varied, fast-paced environment on multiple and concurrent projects. Flexibility and tolerance is a necessity.
Interpersonal Requirements/Professional Attributes: The Ideal candidate will also possess the following skills:
• Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
• Work with project team(s) to identify strategic intent of specific projects
• Ability to follow direction, and process artistic and technical feedback in order to create unique design solutions
• Must have a meticulous attention to detail and be well organized.
• Ability to communicate effectively and respond quickly and proactively to engineering staff and client requests and in line with established guidelines and project requirements.
• Ability to work additional hours as needed.
• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with increasing levels of responsibility and complexity.
Qualifications/Skills: Proven history of creating original, innovative and strategically sound web based solutions for a variety of clients. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
• Thorough knowledge HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WYSIWYG editors, along with the ability to code manually when necessary
• Advanced experience in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, etc.)
• Familiarity with Internet accessibility
• Proficiency with cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility issues
• PHP, and/or web server administration experience a plus
• Knowledge of print design principles, processes, color theory, typography, and production theory is a plus
Key Performance Measures:
• Successful delivery of assigned development tasks and projects according to deadlines.
• Excellent customer service for both internal and external customers.
• Positive contributions to the organization beyond the scope of normal responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
• Candidates should offer a minimum B.S. degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or relevant discipline.
• Years of experience are not as important as the quality and breadth of your background.
