RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform complex engineering analysis, test, design and/or development. Design and development components, software and/or hardware. Perform preliminary/original design and analysis. 50%


2. Develop test programs to evaluate new materials or the assign portion of the project/program. Establish the type and extent of operating conditions to be simulated and devise major equipment, instrumentation and original simulation methods. Take complete charge of the testing phase. 15%


3. Plan strategies for engineering analysis, test and design used for task planning 10%


4. Document results of analysis, test and design. Generate documentation for article being 10% engineered. Prepare presentation and present results verbally.


5. Interact with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters, often requiring 10% coordinated activity across organizational lines. Represent the organization as a contact on projects or contracts.


6. Perform research for related engineering projects. 5%



ADDITIONAL SKILLS
Experience with software tools commonly used in the particular field of engineering practices. Develop general test program to evaluate new materials of products. Software development using C and/or C++ is required.


Based on specific stated objectives perform analysis, design, or test of one or more complex materials, structural components or functional systems of company products. Without detailed direction, study basic design concepts and criteria for assigned complex materials, components, or functional systems to ascertain the engineering principles involved and to adopt features from previously successful designs of a similar nature. With general direction, plan, prepare, and complete the design of assigned complex components and functional systems. Study the operation of systems, select major components to meet functional and operational requirements, and determine the optimum location and arrangement from an engineering, manufacturing, and service standpoint. Direct the more detailed analysis and design and follow up to assure compliance with original philosophy and good engineering execution.


Familiar with designing and/or analyzing spacecraft GNC sub-systems. Must have experience with using Matlab. Must be able to analyze and debug formal software used for satellite GNC systems. Must be able to come up with test procedures to verify sub-system requirements. Experience in GNC flight software development using C and/or C++ is required. Familiar with writing test scripts, analyzing test results and writing test reports. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to analyze control systems using spacecraft simulation systems. Familiar with the formal software development process and software configuration management. Familiar with some spacecraft ground systems software is desired. The candidate will work under general direction but independently arrive to solutions.



Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


REQUIREMENTS:
• A Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics or equivalent experience is required. Four years of related experience is required.

•GUIDANCE NAVIGATION CONTROL Flight software development background is required for this position.


•Must have experience with using Matlab.


•Must be able to analyze and debug formal software used for satellite GNC systems.


•Experience in GNC flights software development using C and/or C++ is required.


•Knowledge of Windows is required.


•Familiar with some spacecraft ground systems software is desired.
