Our client is currently seeking a Computer Programmer with 1-2 years of relevant experience to work with the Template Applications development team.
As part of the dynamic Applications development team you will have significant opportunity to contribute to (Confidential) market leading role while working with a variety of technologies in developing new product features.
You are responsible for:
Using bug tracking software to assess and plan your development tasks.
Using source control and the latest development environments to perform your development tasks.
Ensuring that your code is of good quality, solid design and meets requirements.
Assisting Technical support and Quality Assurance with product related issues.
Maintaining existing code by resolving problems identified by Technical support or Quality Assurance.
Producing clearly written and concise design and architecture documentation for use as a basis for Technical Writing and Sales related documents.
Providing accurate time estimates and meeting scheduled deadlines.
You possess:
Computer Science or diploma or equivalent experience.
Strong object oriented design/programming skills in any programming language.
Knowledge of JScript, HTML and database concepts.
Basic knowledge of financial accounting is an asset.
Strong interest in usability, user experience and workflow.
Ability to handle multiple assignments and complete assigned tasks as scheduled.
Proven analytical, design and planning skills.
Knowledge of software development methodologies.
Ability to communicate effectively, in writing and verbally, with developers and outside groups.
Willingness to participate in meetings and contribute to the overall process.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
Qualified candidates will be required to sit a test. The test is 1 1/2 hours and covers basic programming theory. The test is part of our client's interview process and an interview may be done immediately after.
