Summary:
The network administrator is responsible for making sure that production, corporate, DR, and remote location network environments are available and performing adequately. The candidate must be proactive and have the ability to show initiative and act independently to resolve problems, manage multiple priorities and follow through on projects/tasks to completion. The ideal candidate should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Candidate must have at least five years of experience in network administration and excellent understanding of networking technologies.
A minimum of five years experience with networking administration or engineering

Duties & Responsibilities:
· Architect, implement, and manage fully redundant and highly available network environments.

· Actively monitor network performance and network devices by understanding baseline deviations.
· Provide first-level problem resolution to all network related problems across the organization. This includes routers, firewalls, switches, load balancers, and phones.
· Responsible for analyzing and designing firewall policies that support application requirements and adhere to security practices.
· Communicate with the business and stakeholders the severity, resolution, and estimated resolution time for each network related incident.
· Prioritization of incident/problem resolution based on severity and business impact.
· Identifying perfective and preventive maintenance to improve user experience and network stability.
· Perform network scalability assessments to guarantee the availability and performance of network environments.
· Responsible for maintaining an updating the inventory of the organization's network assets.
· Records all incidents while maintaining accountability and ownership until resolved.
· Document commonly known trouble tickets and document resolution in knowledge base.
· Develop and maintain security documentation and standards documents as required.
· Maintain and establish good relations with service providers and vendors.
· Responsible for managing and executing network related projects from beginning to end.
· Assist in special projects and perform additional assignments as needed.
· Make decisions related to specific tasks/activities with minimal supervision

Job requirements:
· Experience architecting, implementing, and managing highly available and redundant network environments. This includes switches, load balancers, and firewalls.
· Experience configuring and managing Cisco ASA and Fortigate firewalls.
· Experience configuring and managing network load balancers.
· Excellent understanding of layer two switching technologies. Experience configuring and managing layer 2/3 Cisco switches.
· Experience with VoIP infrastructures and phone systems. This also includes a good understanding of best practices and implementation of QoS/CoS.
· Good understanding of WAN technologies including ADSL, cable, T1, multi-links, Metro-E, and MPLS.
· Experience managing and monitoring Cisco IDS/IPS solutions.
· Experience with wireless technologies including Cisco Aironet, WPA2, PEAP-MSCHAPv2, AES-CCMP, and integrations with active directory and RADIUS server.
· Advance troubleshooting skills related to LAN and WAN problems.
· Excellent understanding and troubleshooting skills of routing and switching protocols.
· The candidate must be experienced on QoS, VLANs, trunking, IPsec and SSL VPNs, IP addressing and subnetting, sniffer products, and CAT5e/6.
· Demonstrated exceptional communication and leadership skills. Must be comfortable delivering presentations and leading discussions with IT leadership
. Candidate must be able to document the network infrastructure through detailed documentation and diagrams.

Education/training:
Requires a Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
Highly desirable - a CCNA or CCNP preferable

Work Performance:
· Must be sure that all details of a repair, troubleshoot, and network design are completed accurate
Candidate must be able to make most decisions and set tasks and goals without consulting a supervisor.
· Very often make decisions that affect others and the performance of the organization.
· Repeat the same physical and mental activities.
· Must meet daily, weekly, monthly, and annual tasks and deadlines.
· Required to travel across multiple locations including datacenters and remote offices if necessary.
· Must be able to work 8 to 12 hours in a day when required and at least 40 hours a week.
· Must be available to be on call at least once a month and monitor systems performance and availability
