America Abroad Media (AAM) seeks a creative and entrepreneurial Web Manager to play a critical role in the organization's growth by spearheading and overseeing all efforts related to AAM's online communications activity.

Reporting to AAM's Director of Communications and in close partnership with AAM's Social Media Coordinator, the Web Manager is responsible for the vision, planning and administration of all digital media activity for AAM. This person oversees the development of web content, monitors web traffic, and explores new and creative ways to use the improve AAM's reach and impact through online communication. Specific responsibilities include:

• Working with the Director of Communications to craft a strategy for AAM's web presence across multiple platforms (browsers, smartphones, tablet devices)
• Developing, maintaining, and updating AAM's online presence and content to ensure consistent brand look and feel
• Managing the development of new content for online communication (e-newsletters, press releases, promotional videos, etc.) as well as new online initiatives to improve AAM's reach and impact
• Editing video and audio clips for online purposes
• Copyediting and proofreading all web content
• Overseeing web design and graphic arts as needed
• Overseeing development of interactive and multimedia features for online use
• Developing and overseeing the organization's online advertising strategy, including site promotions and online outreach campaigns
• Tracking and regularly reporting on all site metrics to evaluate performance
• Working closely with department and program heads to craft new online communications initiatives related to AAM's projects
• Planning for future changes to the website, as needed
• Managing outside developers to make structural changes to website
• Staying current with rapidly developing technology and online tools that can improve AAM's online presence
• Assuring web-based information is archived for future needs and reference
• Working closely with the social media coordinator to maximize the impact of all AAM online content through social media channels

The candidate should be very detail-oriented and extremely organized, and have the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously, often under tight deadlines. AAM seeks an individual with the following qualifications:

• Masters degree preferred
• At least 4 years of experience as Web Manager or similar role
• Proficient in HTML and CSS
• Knowledge of Adobe creative suite (especially Photoshop and Dreamweaver) and Final Cut Studio
• Knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, SQL and Drupal CMS a plus
• Experience with social media tools
• Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to present ideas and information clearly
• Demonstrated ability to write clearly and consistently for different audiences
• Interest and experience in media, journalism and international affairs
• Demonstrated ability to work in teams and across departments to complete projects and significantly contribute to a mission-based organization

This is a full time, exempt position, and salary will be commensurate with experience.
