In this role, you will be responsible for delivering an enterprise software application to meet the emerging needs of enterprise sustainability. The role is responsible for ensuring the delivery products in the solution category and partnering with other functional departments to deliver on the roadmap.

You will need strong strategic planning skills, sound business judgment, and effective communication skills. Most importantly, you will need to be a leader.
General Job Duties:
• Determine technical needs and work jointly with Product Management on updates to product and drive technical decisions based on stage of the product lifecycle.
• Provide technical expertise to Product Management in order to facilitate the execution of the product strategies.
• Provide day to day leadership and mentoring for the technical team.
• Accountable for leading and managing an agile development team to deliver on time and high-quality software products that satisfy business requirements.
• Support the Solutions Director, technical leads and business stakeholders from across the Enterprise in defining the strategy and technical roadmaps.
• Ensure that the team is aligned on achieving corporate KPIs and objectives
• Responsible for Release Planning, own release checklist and ensure releases go according to plan.
• Monitor the resources demands from the projects to ensure they are in line with the budget. Optimize resource usage with Product Owners and Scrum Masters.
• Ensure backup of essential roles and coverage for all products
• Develop the team, identify knowledge gaps and take a proactive role in educating the team on relevant technical matters.
• Continually look for methods to optimize and improve product quality, project costs, team's productivity and skills.
• Be responsive to customers' (both internal and external) needs, ensure team follow up on customer issues and follow support process and SLA (Service Level Agreement)
• Administer staff (performance management activities, vacation, etc…)
• Participate in knowledge sharing activities with colleagues.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Required Education:
• BS or MS Degree in Engineering, Computer Science
• PMP Certified is an asset
• Scrum Master Certified is an asset

Required Experience:
• 10+ years of software application Product Development experience (5-10+ years with Enterprise applications and should also include deployment, maintenance, customizations, integrations with other systems, etc.)
• Proven experience with strategy development and product lifecycle management
• Strong understanding of Agile and Software Development methodologies
• Ideally, industry experience from within industry or as a provider to industry in one or more of the following areas: environmental engineering, energy sector (oil and gas, utilities), metals and mining, chemicals, manufacturing, safety, product compliance and MSDS management
• Managerial responsibilities over teams with both direct and matrix reporting structures with proven ability to successfully lead multidisciplinary, geographically dispersed project teams, while meeting deadlines and budgets

Additional Skills:
• Strong understanding of financial and operational aspects of product lines and portfolio management experience
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills to form the basis of well-researched and documented plans.
• Capable of resolving diverse, complex and ambiguous issues and situations
• Strong influencing and communication skills (written and verbal, French and English)
• Strong voice of customer-centered focus and aptitude
• Project management and organizational skills to ensure deadlines are met and effectively influence organizations over which there is no direct reporting relationship
• Proficient in developing, educating, coaching and motivating people
