POSITION TITLE: IT Administrator

REPORTS TO: COO

DEPARTMENT: Corporate

 

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Serves information processing by planning, organizing, and evaluating IT operations. This position will assist our two main offices in Northern and Southern California and remote employees with all of their technology needs. The position will work primarily with our office environment as well as off-site business operations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES:

  • Achieves operational IT objectives by maintaining current system; evaluating, recommending, testing and installing new technology; contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Determines IT operations service requirements by analyzing needs of users/departments; prioritizing modifications to core system applications; resolves organizational conflict; developing and implementing documentation requirements for problem resolution; including policies, SOPs, IT narratives, diagrams, etc.
  • Administer and modify network configurations as requested (firewalls, switches, routers, VPN & wireless networks) according to Management policies. Participate in the design and implementation of network configuration related to firewalls, switches, routers, and VPN systems
  • Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery procedures.
  • Improves quality results by evaluating and upgrading processes; directing changes. Develop and maintain Help Desk Infrastructure (Hardware/Software)
  • Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends in new technologies for storage architecture, capacity, and response time.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

 

OTHER DUTIES AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inventory of all equipment in the field and at offices
  • Keep offices set up and coordinated (internet, phone, fax, printing, etc. is up and functional)
  • Assess and maintain all equipment in good working order
  • Replace equipment as needed before failure
