Director of Planning Job Posting

The Director of Planning is responsible for all ERP operations, order processing and operations planning functions within the Americas Operations division with the express objective of achieving stated business and customer.

Job Responsibilities will include:

• Manage the planning team in accordance with Performance Management and Development System and applicable laws.


• Participates with other senior managers to establish Supply Chain strategic plans and objectives.


• Exercise judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.


• Provide management and KPI reporting on the activities within the planning team.


• Insure the quality of ERP Operations system.


• Coordinate all planning function within Operations: Logistics, Integration, and Engineering


• Develop Master Schedule requirements from demand forecast, production capacity, and historical data


• Maintain metrics on maintenance of Bills of Materials and data relationships. Interpret results of metrics and audit reporting and make recommendations for process and/or system changes to improve overall process.


• Manage resolution of issues impacting Configuration of quarantined sales orders and insure timely resolution.


• Work with Director of Logistics to monitor inventories of raw material, work in process, and finished goods in an effort to minimize costs. This should be done against Operations inventory goals


• Monitor production, shipments, and new sales releases, revising the master schedule to adjust for any potential material or production problems


• Develop monthly sales and operations planning forecasts to balance customer demand and meet working capital and financial objectives

Education/Qualifications:

• Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, management or related area; MS degree would be a plus.


• 8-10+ years of experience in a production planning/logistics/materials handling role; 5 years of direct employee management experience


• Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing working experience is preferred


• Certificates in APICS, CPSM or related areas is a plus


• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and operational processes


• Experience in planning on-time deliveries through a warehouse distribution network


• Experience with BOM maintenance in support of formal MRP systems.


• Experience with Manage 2000 is a bonus.


• Ability to get Gaming licenses required
