.NET WEB Developer

Responsibilities, under direction of the Project Manager and/or Project Leader, will include reviewing all project documentation, requesting clarification on discrepancies or parts of the documentation that are unclear, advising the Project Manager and Project Leader if there are more efficient methods or processes than what is defined in the project documentation, keeping in mind the project objectives, becoming familiar with DES standards and technical environment, working with the project team to determine the order to build the system, working with the Project Leader and Project Manager to complete details on the Project Plan, participate on conference calls when needed, clarifying discrepancies before coding, design, code, analyze, test and documenting computer software programs and systems using the full lifecycle development techniques which meet customer requirements, provide estimates for all assigned work, developing new and revised .Net application program specification documents/packages. Responsibilities also include creating system database tables, relationships, and stored procedures, providing technical and system guidance to users and other programmer analysts, diagnosing and resolving time-sensitive production system problems using complex methods of analysis and diagnostic software, unit testing changes in the Development and Integration environments.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
KNOWLEDGE of; the principles and practices of mainframe architecture, application programming, and system analysis. the principles and practices of web architecture, application programming and system analysis, Microsoft Visual Studio .NET C# and Visual Basic application languages, Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Integrated Development Environment, web technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, ASP, ASP.Net, XML, VBScript, Web Services/WCF, SSIS and SQL Server database application/programming environments, ADO.Net, OLEDB, ODBC, accessibility standards as they pertain to web design, W3C standards as they pertain to web page development, Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, Microsoft Windows NT, XP and Millennium operating systems, Application Development tools (Team Foundation Server, Microsoft Visual SourceSafe, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project), mainframe to server and server to server file transfer methods, such as FTPS, SFTP, FTP.

SKILL to; Conduct highly complex analysis and assessment of customer business processes and applying those to modifications to development of application systems, use of personal computers, MS Office Suite, effectively analyze, evaluate, draw logical conclusions and solve complex application development problems, use project management tools and processes to ensure delivery of application development projects on time and within schedule, quickly grasp functional, business and application requirements, design, construct, deploy, and maintain internet and/or intranet applications;

ABILITY to; Design, construct, program, and maintain system development activities, express technical information in oral and written form to technical and non-technical personnel, establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted during the course of work, relationships include the cross divisional, and agency program staff, agency's senior management, as well as staff and management of other governmental and private sector entities, design, develop, and/or modify software applications, develop and write system application functional detail documents and project plans, rapidly transition work activities from defining “big picture” needs to working on the minuscule details of a concept, problem, and application programming development or modification.

Preferred/Desired Candidate:
•3-5 years of experience as a .Net Web Developer

•Design, construct, deploy, and maintain internet and/or intranet applications

•Browser based programming to generally include: ASP.Net, C#, NET Framework 3.5/4.0, SQL Server 2005/2008, Web Services/Windows Communications Foundation, SSIS, SQL Reporting Services, System Development Methodology, specifically component design, and test-driven development, n-tier development

•Must be available for the entire period that this contract covers

•Pluses: TFS 2010, Visual Studio 2010, Silverlight 4.0, CodeSmith 5.*, CSLA (Component-based, Scalable, Logical Architecture) 4.0
