Who We Are Looking For: Right now we are looking for a technical, well-rounded QA Engineer. This person will design and execute tests for web services and applications and then help us automate those cases.

Responsibilities:
• Design test plans and test cases based on product specifications documents
• Perform planned and ad-hoc manual testing
• Identify and automate appropriate test cases using tools & frameworks provided by SDET team
• Update and maintain manual test cases and automated tests to keep pace with product changes
• Investigate bugs by using available application and server logs, browser developer tools (Firebug, etc.), databases, and other tools and resources
• Deploy builds to test environments, some maintenance or manipulation of test environments (configs, data, etc.)
• Write clear, concise, consistently reproduce-able bug reports
• Support deployments and maintenance activities
• Mentor junior team members, and give technical advice and direction

Qualifications:
• Strong understanding of the architecture and software previously tested and the ability to effectively communicate such proficiency in a Unix environment (navigation, tools, concepts)
• Proficiency with relational databases (extract and update data)
• Strong understanding and skills in testing web services and consumer-facing web applications
• Understanding of programming concepts such as conditional logic, loops, and string manipulation
• Some proficiency with at least one programming or scripting language such as Java, Ruby, Python (preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to automate web and/or services tests
• Experience with open-source tool sets and frameworks (Selenium, Watir, etc.)
• A demonstrated history of learning new skills and tackling new challenges
