The Cloud Practice Director will be the lead and Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the field of Advisory Services for Data Center & Cloud Transformation and Enterprise Cloud solutions and how they can best enable business driven IT. They will be responsible for the complete design, development, initial sales & delivery of DCT & Cloud Advisory solution offerings. They will be externally visible on behalf of the company and meet with client IT executives and internal organizational groups to clearly articulate the company's strategy and solution offering. These engagements will include but are not limited to exploratory workshops, formal presentations, and RFP contributions.
Qualifications:
The incumbent should have very strong presentation, writing and interpersonal skills and also broad technical knowledge.
1. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
2. Professional service practice experience
3. Senior IT management experience (Director or higher) supporting large scale production environments that:
o Supported Business Critical Applications and Functions
o Utilized large scale or complex data center environments
o Leveraged a structured, process driven operations environment (i.e. ITIL,ITSM, etc)
o Utilized virtualization technologies
4. Experience building and delivering Data Center & Cloud Transformation consulting services
5. Experience working with clients and leading & closing services sales processes
6. Experience working as an architect or solutions specialist, business development manager (or consultative selling /closing experience) or project manager
7. Real world senior IT consulting experience supporting large scale technology and application projects
8. Sustained record of developing new add-on, profitable business
9. Experience applying risk mitigation/management methodology when developing, capturing and delivering services
10 Experience developing relationships with a variety of clients in a broad range of industries
11. Experience obtaining in-depth knowledge of one's area of specialization, field or technology
12. Must possess the appropriate mixture of technical depth and business acumen to properly align technological capabilities to solving real world business challenges
13. Experience in closing business and leading executive conversations at the C-level
14. Active participation in professional associations, industry roundtables, etc
**Desired**
1. IT management experience in the area of data center transformation, supporting large scale production environments that:
o Utilized Cloud solutions in production or development
o Utilized storage virtualization products
o Utilized Open Source software for production processes
2. Experience in highly secure and heavily audited environments
3. Experience as an outsourced application service provider or complete IT outsourcer to third party organizations
4. Experience managing heterogeneous server and storage environments
5. Experience working as a technology architect, engineer, or administrator at some point in career
6. Experience working within Government sector
