Primary Responsibility:
Develops a functional PMO reflecting best practices and standardized methodologies to deliver projects to clients. Builds out methodology with peer leadership to enable cross-functional project delivery.
Responsible for leading PMO in a mature and organization-focused manner, providing help where necessary to project a professional image.
Provide leadership, direction and coaching on project specific tasks as well as individual professional development. Ability to see, account for, and coach others in the “big picture” as well as the details and to be able to tie initiatives to Corporate Goals.
Establish and Nurture positive relationships with customer organizations.
Define tools to increase operational efficiencies and compliance, such as policies and procedures, SLA's, etc.

Ensures solution recommendations to IT Governance are cost effective and aligned with the IT roadmap.
Updates IT roadmap ensuring alignment of roadmap with changing business plans.
Ensures compliance with SOX, audits, and any other statutory regulations.
Mentors project managers to meet new business requirements.
Manages assigned projects from initiation through completion.
Responsible for coordinating the preparation & communication of major project activities providing a framework and oversight to ensure alignment with the business priorities.
Develop and encourage close relationships between business management and IT management to provide focus on IT actions that support the business direction.
Provide change management interaction when required during major project implementations.
Provide a focus for IT governance activities and annual operational preparation. Build budgets for capital and expense that align to business budgets. Develop cost justifications and ROIs.
Develop and maintain IT methodologies by geography and maturity
Conduct resource and capacity planning to assure availability to meet company objectives and financial availability.

Perform benchmarking and deliver performance metrics to the IT team and organization.
Understand major corporate initiatives and direct the project management needed to support those initiatives; develop and implement strategies that enable continuous quality and productivity improvement.
Provide guidance and best practice knowledge to build project discipline and consistency across the IT project portfolio.
Adhere to the established project methodologies, standards, tools, processes, policies and procedures.
Collaborate across teams as needed to deliver innovative and high quality solutions in a timely and a cost effective manner.
Understand and facilitate the governance process.
Provide metrics to check progress of the PMO and individual projects.
Develop and maintain efficient and reliable metrics for measuring program and project progress.
Assist in developing a variable component to the budget and identifying vendors and Master Service Agreements.
Identify the potential risks and mediate problems encountered by team members.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
Perform related duties as required.
Strategy & Planning
Effectively communicate and manage project expectations to project managers, owners, sponsors, team members, and other stakeholders in a clear and concise fashion.
Effectively manage project teams' time and allocate resources to ensure deliverables are completed. Publish KPIs, track trends and drive change based on this.
Where required, negotiate with department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
Assess and approve/disapprove need for additional staff or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during project's lifecycle.


Operational Management
Direct and manage development of all IT projects within the PMO portfolio from beginning to end.
Develop best practices, techniques, and tools for project planning, execution, project management, ongoing milestone/deliverable tracking, communication, and key performance metrics.
Review budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
Track and monitor all project milestones and deliverables.
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
Accept and assess status reports, change requests, and requirements documentation to ensure smooth project progression.
Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team leads, team members, and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
This position collaborates with the senior level of management.
