Years of Experience & Expertise Level:
3-4 Mid with 5-7 years experience, and 1-2 Sr. with 10+ years experience
Network Switch product development, providing L2/L3 functionality and Open Flow support
Help develop a system level test plan, define test cases, develop test scripts, and perform manual and automated testing. Analyze test results and help with issue investigation and resolution.
. Strong IP Networking background, including extensive experience with Layer 2 (VLANs, network switch operation and functionality, Spanning Tree) and Layer 3 (Packet Routing) switching along with sound knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF, RIP, and BGP.
. Solid programming experience in Pearl and C languages. Some SW development may be needed, but it would mostly be around test script development.
. Test Plan, Test Case, and Test Script Development experience.
. Strong testing and troubleshooting/debugging skills.
. Experience using Linux and Ixia/Spirent test equipment.
. Self driven and able to function in an unstructured environment, with minimum supervision and guidance.
. Organized and detail oriented, taking the initiative to investigate and document anything that doesn't seem right in the product behavior, even if it may seem to be a fluke.
. Interested in testing network components.
