Volt's Client - The Software Giant of Redmond, WA has a short term position open for a very experienced Software Test Engineer to perform deployment testing to Azure, help solve deployment issues and spend about 20% of time in C# coding and scripting. This Test Engineer will be responsible for writing test plans for a small project or a medium to large feature set and review test specifications, cases and automation written by others for coverage and completeness. Also, responsible for improving test quality and effectiveness by working with Development and Program Management to prevent problems and to make the product more testable.

This is an estimated 3 month Contingent/Temporary position in Redmond, WA with the possibility of an extension and offered through Volt Technical Resources which is located in Redmond, WA. Requirements:
Experience gained by working at the Software Giant of Redmond, WA or one of its other locations is MANDATORY due to the position lasting 3 months - as there is no time to train... (MUST have experience with deployments to Azure, opening tickets and follow-up, Windows Azure Deployment Engine (WADE) infrastructure).

Software Test Engineer Qualifications:
2-3 plus years work related experience required.
Experience with PowerShell and batch files.
Ability to code basic Production Test Scripts required.
Ability to do some coding in C#.
Knowledge of Software Testing Standards, Methods and Conventions and of the Product Development Cycle is required.
Must have demonstrated success in coordinating the test effort for one or more software projects, as well as testing software products and contributing to their quality standards.
Must have a basic understanding of Microsoft product quality.

Bonus Skills:
Experience with shipping a product / product cycle strongly preferred.
Experience with SQL, ASP, IIS and HTML preferred.
Intermediate level knowledge of one or more scripting languages (JavaScript, VBScript, Perl Script or Windows batch files) may be preferred.
