MISSION

Responsible for ensuring the quality of the website and related systems/applications/services. Standard functions such as regression testing and automation are expected which will include the creation and use of artifacts such as test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts.

KEY RESULTS AREAS

• Review business requirements and specifications for consistency in quality standards and preparation for testing.
• Write and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Editing, enhancing or updating existing test cases.
• Execute test cases and/or automation scripts for acceptance, regression and end-to-end tests for new releases and/or defect fixes.
• Clearly record and track issues/defects in the approriate bug tracking system; follow-through with fix resolution and validation in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain and share thorough knowledge of Web Site and the multiple systems/applications that are associated.
• Work from conception to completion on multiple simultaneous projects.

EXPERIENCE, TALENT AND EDUCATION

• Bachelors Degree in IS, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education/certification(s) and experience.
• 2-4 years as a QA Tester in an eCommerce solution environment.
• Experience with QA processes and testing eCommerce websites and related applications.
• Strong knowledge of web and internet technologies.
• Experience with creation and execution of test scripts.
• Excellent knowledge of various test phases including functional, integration and regression.
• Experience with manual/functional testing along with automated testing - proficiency with a tool such as Selenium preferred.
• Strong familiarity with HTML and JavaScript.
• Ability to document a test report and/or a defect report.
• Excellent technical and non-technical verbal and writing skills.
• Experience testing eCommerce third party service providers (payment, fraud, tax, etc.) a plus.
• Experience working with third party software and development vendors on issue tracking and resolution.
• Experience testing and assuring cross-browser and mobile device capability.
• Strong technical trouble shooting skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks under pressure while keeping a positive attitude.
• An independent thinker, fully capable of making their own assessments of problem areas and finding effective solutions.
• Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
